HOUSTON, Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- CenterPoint Energy Resources Corp. (CERC), an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. (NYSE: CNP), today announced that it intends to sell through a private offering an aggregate of $550 million of senior notes due 2021 and senior notes due 2041. CERC intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to pay amounts due in connection with the retirement of all $550 million aggregate principal amount of its 7.75 percent senior notes due 2011 at their maturity on Feb. 15, 2011.
