CenterPoint Energy Restoration Bond Company, LLC and CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC (the “Registrants”) hereby request that pursuant to Rule 461 of the rules and regulations promulgated under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, the effectiveness of their Registration Statement on Form S-3 (Registration Statement No. 333-162370 and 333-162370-01), as amended, be accelerated so that the Registration Statement will become effective on November 13, 2009, at 3:00 p.m., Eastern time, or as soon thereafter as practicable.
